It All Comes Down to Ewe…
The submissions are in and it’s time to vote!
We’re excited to introduce you to our newest staff members, a trio of gorgeous Zwartbles sheep who will be assisting our Head Greenkeeper, Simon Freeman, with course maintenance. But in order to properly welcome these ladies, we need your help naming them!
The submissions are in and we’ve narrowed down the selection to our favourite 3 for each sheep. We now need you to vote for YOUR favourites! All finalists will receive one of our famous Mach Dunes Black Sheep Head Covers, and the creative lads and lassies who thought up the three most popular names will enjoy a complimentary 2-night stay for four in a luxurious cottage, unlimited golf during their stay, and a chance to meet our trio of plucky sheep (season-dependent)!
The smallest in our flock, she’s shy and prefers Simon keep a safe distance. Maybe she knows something we don’t…
The most confident of the trio is also the biggest. She has taken on the role of leader and matron.
The friendliest of the flock, though she only takes to Simon when he has biscuits in his pocket.
The voting period has ended. Stay tuned to find out the winning names!
*To participate, complete the form at above before 11:59 PM on 5 July 2019 (GMT). Participants may nominate as many sheep names as they like, but only one name per nominator may be chosen as a finalist. On 12 July 2019, 9 finalists (3 names per sheep) will be chosen by management at The Village at Machrihanish Dunes, and such names will be subject to a public vote until 15 July 2019 at MachrihanishDunes.com/name-sheep. Only one vote per person will be counted. The largest number of votes per sheep will be identified, and the nominators of such names will be given a 2-night complimentary stay for up to four people in a two-bedroom Ugadale Cottage and unlimited golf during their stay, subject to availability. All other costs of travel and the stay (including, without limitation, food & beverage, etc.) shall be the responsibility of the nominator. Stay must be completed by 15 December, 2020. Sponsored by Kintyre Development Company Limited *(“KDC”), The Old Clubhouse, Machrihanish, Argyll PA28 6PT. All sheep remain the property of KDC.
