The Old Clubhouse Pub

The Old Clubhouse Pub has been the site of good times and warm welcomes since 1876 when it served as the original clubhouse of the Machrihanish Golf Club back in the days of Old Tom Morris. The atmosphere at The Old Clubhouse is one of a relaxed old-world style golf pub serving up delicious pub food and gourmet dinner offerings before becoming the site of nightly revelry for locals and guests alike. The meticulously restored interior has been masterfully crafted to recreate the pub as it may have looked more than 100 years earlier.  As regulars and visitors will attest, the pub food and drink here are truly some of the finest you will find.

About the Chef – Colin Bellamy:

Local man Colin has worked at the Old Clubhouse in the Village at Machrihanish Dunes since 2011, having previously gained experience at several of Campbeltown’s more notable hotels. Colin describes the cuisine in the Old Clubhouse Pub as “high-quality pub food”, and he prides himself on producing a varied menu that appeals to local and visitors alike, many of whom are guests at the Ugadale Hotel & Cottages, as well as visiting golfers who are drawn to the warm, welcoming environment.

Colin strives to mix up his menus whenever possible, making best use of Scottish and especially local produce. Our world-famous haggis nachos are a classic example of a simple starter which has been given a Scottish twist before being embellished with cleverly selected side dishes.

The Old Clubhouse is a friendly meeting place for all, and Colin has made it a personal mission to ensure that nobody ever leaves hungry!
