The world’s top amateur golf pairs event will come to Argyll and Bute next year. The world final of the International Pairs Club Event will take place in October 2013 at Machrihanish Dunes links course. It is recognised as the world’s biggest club competition. Council leader Roddy McCuish said, “This event is huge and the world final attracts golfers and their followers from thirty countries. “It is a marvellous coup for Kintyre and the impact will spread throughout Argyll and Bute as word is taken to the world of what this unique area has to offer.” …more (PDF)
